In 1976, Continental Consulting Engineers, Inc. was founded as a client friendly organization whose hands-on approach tackles unique project challenges and provides can-do solutions. Continental provides Civil Engineering Design, Site Analysis, Land Planning, Utility Design, Landscape Architecture, Construction Inspection and Professional Land Surveying for clients around the entire Kansas City metropolitan area in both the public and private sectors.

Continental Consulting Engineers, Inc. is headquartered at 9000 State Line Road, Leawood, Kansas, in an office building that is owned by the company. Continental is extremely proud to also have a Kansas City, Kansas office location located at 11006 Parallel Parkway, Suite 1, Kansas City, Kansas, which is located in the Country Club Bank building at 110th and Parallel. Continental is considered a Local Business Enterprise (LBE) by the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kansas.

With offices in both Kansas City, Kansas and Leawood, Kansas, Continental serves the Civil Engineering and Surveying needs for clients around the greater metropolitan Kansas City area. Continental has grown and diversified to best serve the needs of our clients. Our clients come from a large segment of the economy and include municipalities, commercial developers, office developers, retail developers, industrial developers, golf course developers, residential developers, property management firms, state agencies, federal entities, investment organizations, professional firms, major corporations, utility companies, and contractors. Our firm is as versatile as it is capable.

Continental is an Employee-owned firm and is a story of a successful family business where all family members of the founder play key roles in the day-to-day operations. One of the greatest assets of our organization are the attitude and abilities of our staff. Our staff of professionals exhibits the wisdom that has been earned by years of experience and close construction observation. Continental’s staff includes primary Project Managers that all report to the President of the firm, Registered Professional Engineers, Registered Land Surveyors, a Registered Landscape Architect, Intern Engineers, and other certified inspectors and support personnel capable of providing the design and inspection services required. Each Monday morning, the entire staff attends our weekly meeting where all ongoing projects are discussed. Deadlines, staffing, challenges, lessons-learned and sharing of experiences are all topics that are resolved at the start of each week so that we are productive and most responsive to clients.

Our firm divisions are not titled as would be typical of a large firm, but rather broken down by specialty with personnel crossing between disciplines, as the job requires. With our size, each of our professionals is diverse in their abilities, but specialize in an area or areas of Civil Engineering or Land Surveying based upon their education, training and experience.
